Diego Maradona Leaves His Position

Diego Maradona, the head coach of Gimnasia in La Plata, Argentina, has left his position. The 59-year-old coach's dismissal was announced by the club's president, Gabriel Pellegrino, during a broadcast on La Red radio.

Earlier reports suggested that Maradona's departure could have been influenced by Pellegrino's refusal to resign from the presidency of the club.

Maradona led Gimnasia for just two and a half months. Since taking over in September 2019, the club recorded three victories and suffered five defeats under his command.
