Disastrous Defeat: Italy 9 - 1 Armenia

The Armenian national football team suffered its largest defeat in history, losing 9-1 to Italy. According to Armenpress, in the final round of qualifying for Euro 2020, Armenia visited Italy.

The match, held in Palermo, saw the team led by Abubakar Khashmanyan concede nine goals. Italy's goals were scored by Immobile and Zaniolo, who each netted twice, while Barella, Romagnoli, Jorginho, Orsolini, and Chiesa added one goal each. Armenia's lone goal came from Edgar Babayan.

This marks the heaviest defeat for the Armenian team in its history. In Group J of Euro 2020 qualifying, Armenia finished in second-to-last place.
