VIDEO: 18 Sex Workers Detained by Police

On November 16, police officers from the Shengavit Division of the Yerevan City Police, in cooperation with the 3rd Special Battalion of the Patrol Police, conducted intensified operations in the Shengavit administrative area.

The police reported that as a result of the joint efforts, 18 individuals suspected of engaging in prostitution were detained from Bagratuniats Street and taken to the Shengavit Division of the Police. The authorities established the identities and residences of the women, which included both locals and residents from regions.

Explanatory work was conducted with them, and appropriate reports were documented. The police once again inform that such measures will continue to be carried out on an ongoing basis.
