Family Worked at Sanitek, Did Not Receive Final Settlements or Vacation Pay

Arthur Minasyan, who worked at Sanitek for many years, has not received his final settlement after being let go, nor has he received his vacation pay. He stated that he and his family worked at Sanitek for a long time, but the company owes them money and has not paid anything.

According to Arthur Minasyan, the company owes him 4 years and 9 months of unpaid wages, which is more than half a million drams. “Approximately half a million drams is my vacation pay, and there’s also 107 thousand drams in my final wage settlement. The amount is the same for my father, who also worked at Sanitek. They owe us more than a million drams,” said Arthur.

Sanitek also owes money to Arthur's mother. She has not received 70 thousand drams and lost her job in February due to health issues without receiving her final settlement. Arthur Minasyan noted that neither he nor his father have taken any vacation in the last four years and have not received any vacation pay. He has called the company multiple times, and they told him to wait for the payments.

“I’m not the only one, there are about 150 others who haven’t been paid. After the protests in August, some received their payments, and when we went to receive ours, we were told that the funds had run out and we would be paid later,” he recounted.

Arthur Minasyan is currently employed as a worker at the newly established Yerevan Waste Collection and Sanitation municipal enterprise. In an interview with Haykakan Zhamanak, he expressed that he is very satisfied. Employees at this new enterprise receive higher wages. Arthur mentioned that he now earns 170 thousand drams instead of the previous 107 thousand. He also remarked that after the Yerevan municipality terminated its contract with Sanitek, more than half of the employees have found work at the newly established enterprise.
