VIDEO. “These clothes were given half an hour ago, right?” - Prime Minister
“These clothes were given half an hour ago, right? It's obvious they are new, just put on,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said a moment ago while addressing workers on the bridge of the Yeghvard-Ashtarak road.
Then, addressing the responsible parties in construction, Kotayk Governor Romanos Petrosyan and Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Suren Papikyan, he stated, “That culture, where a worker must go to work in his old clothes, must change. A minister does not go to work in his old clothes from home. So why should a worker go to work in his old clothes? It shows respect for a person, for the person’s work. All workers must be treated with respect.”
“We were discussing the issue the other day that if the garbage truck is dirty, that's already a problem. A waste collector or a worker doing construction or any other job should not go to work in his old patched clothes; he should be provided with proper workwear. You need to be consistent in these matters; this is not just a statement.”
