Fact: The issue of revising gas prices is on the agenda and it is likely to occur by the end of the year
The newspaper "Fact" reports that for months there has been talk of an increase in the price of gas imported from Russia, with various hypotheses and timelines circulating.
Recently, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan stated that gas prices will remain the same until April 1.
Interestingly, we mentioned this a month ago, noting that the authorities are doing everything to prevent gas prices from rising during the winter months.
However, according to a source from the "Fact" newspaper, there is a slight nuance regarding this topic. Our information suggests that the question of revising gas prices is indeed on the agenda, and it is possible that this will occur not in April, but at the end of the year.
It is planned that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Moscow at the end of December, where this issue will be clarified.
According to the same sources, the authorities will not announce any price increases until spring to avoid creating an opportunity for social unrest and to protect their ratings from an early blow.
If gas prices rise at the end of the year, the difference for consumers during the winter months will be compensated by the state.
