Court Enters Deliberation Room to Decide on Alik Petrosyan's Bail Conditions
The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan, chaired by Judge Artak Tadevosyan, has just entered the deliberation room to make a decision regarding the bail conditions of Alik Petrosyan, also known as Aleksan Petrosyan.
It is noteworthy that the court was examining the request from the Special Investigation Service for the arrest of Aleksan Petrosyan since noon today. Alik Petrosyan was also present at the hearing but declined to comment.
Petrosyan is accused of assisting in money laundering. According to reports from 'Haykakan Zhamanak', the charges are related to a criminal case involving former Minister of Environment Aram Harutyunyan. Aleksan Petrosyan has been arrested in connection with the case, but earlier the court reviewed a motion from his defense against the arrest decision and deemed it unlawful. He is currently at liberty.
Also arrested was Alik Petrosyan's son, Makar Petrosyan, but he has likewise been released, although the circumstances surrounding his release are still unclear.
