Government Allocates Funds for Homes for 227 Families in Disaster Area
The government made a decision during today’s session to allocate monetary vouchers to 227 families in disaster areas, allowing them to purchase housing. Armen Ghulyan, the Deputy Head of the Territorial Development Committee, detailed the distribution: 121 families in Lori, 90 families in Shirak, and 16 families in Aragatsotn.
He also specified that the number of families requiring housing stands at 453, and during their surveys, half of them—227 families—have decided that obtaining vouchers to purchase homes is more beneficial for them. For the remaining families, there needs to be housing construction.
For this program, the government plans to allocate 1 billion 291 million drams, and funds are expected to be ready by the end of the year.
