General Support is Very High: Activists Continue Sit-In

Today we didn’t find it appropriate to hold a march. We continue the sit-in. This was stated by Gor Sargsyan, a member of the Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), in a conversation with journalists, as reported by tert.am.

“The friends are tired, but there are people who come to support the sit-in. We found it more appropriate to stay at the sit-in site to talk and understand what proposals people have,” he said.

Sargsyan reminded that they have appealed to the 'Bright Armenia' and 'Prosperous Armenia' parties, and he believes that they will respond tomorrow. “I don’t want to talk about expectations. I think that as an opposition, they should enter the process and follow our call,” Sargsyan noted.

Speaking about further actions, the activist mentioned that students will hold another action. He also added that they will hold a press conference tomorrow, where they will present their future actions more clearly.

“The number of our supporters is increasing day by day—cultural figures, lecturers. Overall support is very high, but there is a constraint that prevents people from expressing themselves in some way,” he said.
