Hraparak: Division within 'My Step' Faction Intensifies Day by Day

Hraparak newspaper reports: The division within the 'My Step' faction is intensifying day by day. Your MPs who have worked with the 'Open Society Foundations' are dissatisfied that you have not provided the necessary support for their initiative against the declaration of the blockade of the VETO and Soros Foundation office, which is expected to become a legislative initiative against hate speech.

Soros supporters believe that if you do not support them now, you will not support them at all during the voting. We asked the leader of the 'My Step' faction, Lilit Makunts, why the faction is exhibiting such an approach. She replied, 'There is no division within the faction, there is no dissatisfaction. A document has been discussed in the National Assembly Human Rights Committee, the details of which I am unaware of because I was not in Armenia. I do not know how many MPs have signed it.'

It should be noted that a month has passed, yet only 20 MPs out of 88 have signed. 'In any case, there is no issue of defending Soros supporters and non-Soros supporters within the faction. I do not know who is dissatisfied about what; I am not aware of any dissatisfaction. I know there is no such manifestation, and it is normal for some part of the faction to join some statement while others do not.'
