Girls Had Long Prepared for That Murder: Lawyer on Khachatryan Sisters' Case
Two friends of the Khachatryan sisters have filed a complaint regarding incitement to murder. This information was reported by the Russian TV channel '360', referencing sources familiar with the case. This information is also confirmed by the victim's lawyer, Yulia Nitchenko.
According to the lawyer, an investigation is currently underway. Nitchenko also noted that a day before the incident, when Mikhail Khachatryan returned home after treatment at a neurological clinic, there was a dialogue between one of the sisters and her friend in their messages. The messages indicate that the friend suggested 'returning' the man to the clinic and proposed to hit him 'with something heavy.'
Another lawyer for the victim, Olga Khalikova, confirmed that the sisters had corresponded with their friends, which they deleted a month before the murder. 'The girls had long been preparing for that murder. It is evident that they deleted that correspondence back in July 2018,' Khalikova stated.
According to her, after the girls' measure of restraint was changed, they began to remotely delete all the information from Mikhail's phone via iCloud. The sisters know all the data, including the password.
The investigation into Kristina, Maria, and Angelina Khachatryan concluded on June 14. The investigative committee recognized them as guilty of their father's murder. The elder sisters face up to 20 years in prison, while the youngest faces 10 years. Additionally, a further examination has been scheduled for her.
Mikhail Khachatryan's body was discovered in 2018 at his home on Altufyevskoye Highway. During interrogation, the girls claimed their father had mocked them for a long time.
