My 13-Year Journey with Public Television Has Come to an End: Gasparyan

Journalist-commentator Abraham Gasparyan announced on his Facebook page: “And here it is, the end. My 13-year journey with Public Television has come to an end. Yesterday, I submitted my resignation, and today I bid farewell to my colleagues.

Fundamental disagreements on professional, work, and personal approaches made it impossible for us to continue working together. For me, there is one overarching headline: national and state values. It is under this headline that my biography has been written and will continue to be written, never allowing personal ideology to undermine the professional one and vice versa.

I am grateful to all my colleagues—from the engineers, editors, and security staff to coordinators, operators, and journalists. I appreciate everyone who has tirelessly and willingly helped me fulfill my professional duties with honor and in the presence of the state, from military units to church communities, from international organizations to Armenian universities, from Artsakh to the capitals of Europe.

I will continue to work for the advancement of our state with a clear conscience, responsible pen, and resilient knowledge. As for the field and when, you will know later. Stay firm.”
