Talish Lives On: The Newly Built School Opens Its Welcoming Doors
The yard of the Talish secondary school has once again been filled with the cheerful laughter and smiles of children after a prolonged silence. Due to the tragic events of April 2016, people were forced to leave their homes and temporarily reside in various locations. Some had settled in Alashan and, without losing hope of returning to their birthplace, eagerly awaited the day when they could return.
Finally, after three years of wandering, people are back in Talish, in their renovated and some even newly constructed comfortable homes. The new educational institution has opened its welcoming doors to students.
The village, which has undergone renovations and has been significantly improved, has received a completely new look while keeping the path of the Talish residents in its heart, promising a bright and luminous future for them. “The revived Talish is lovingly embracing its children like a mother, with its gaze fixed on the future, warmly welcoming and nurturing them,” says the community leader, Vilen Petrosyan, inviting all Talish residents home.
