Details from the FFU Executive Committee Meeting: Mkhitaryan's Mother Admonishes MPs
According to the 'Zhoghovurd' newspaper, when FFU President Arthur Vanetsyan appointed Abraham Khashmanyan as head coach of the Armenian national team on November 6, many members of the FFU Executive Committee launched an attack against him.
'Zhoghovurd' has received exclusive information from the FFU Executive Committee meeting. Specifically, attendees felt that MPs Ruben Rubinyan and Aren Mkrtchyan had planned to undermine the session by arguing that the FFU charter had been violated. Vanetsyan countered that it was merely a technical oversight.
The issue is that according to the previous FFU charter, the committee appoints the coach, while the new charter adopted in June states that the president makes the appointment. When Vanetsyan clarified that the charter had not yet been finalized in the state register at the time of the appointment and was confirmed the following day, the protestors retreated.
During the meeting, Marina Tashchyan, mother of Henrik Mkhitaryan and a member of the committee, admonished the young MPs for politicizing such a simple question.
