Video: Artillery Shell Found on Road in Syunik

An artillery shell discovered on the road in the village of Nerkhin Hand, Syunik province, was neutralized today by sappers from the Armed Forces' N unit. According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations, a report was received at 12:14 PM on November 7 via the '911' service that a shell had been spotted on the road leading to the village of Nerkhin Hand, necessitating rescuers' assistance.

An operational group from the regional crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the site. It was determined that a 122 mm caliber artillery shell had been found near the 43rd kilometer of the Kapan-Tsav highway. Rescuers secured the area.

An engineering sapper unit from the Armed Forces' N unit was present at the scene. On November 8, at 11:22 AM, for safety reasons, an operational group from the regional crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations returned to the site.
