«Hraparak». Low Salary: No Candidate for the Audit Chamber

«Hraparak» newspaper reports. The opposition has been unable to propose a candidate for the Audit Chamber for a considerable time. On October 8, the candidate proposed by the ‘Enlightened Armenia’ faction, Karen Sargsyan, was rejected in the NA Financial and Budgetary Affairs Committee, and since then, the members of the faction have not succeeded in presenting a new candidate.

People refuse to participate, stating that ‘the salary is low.’ Furthermore, they are concerned that their candidate will again be rejected in the majority-held committee by the ruling coalition. It is worth noting that the two-week deadline for the faction to present a new candidate has already expired. The Prosperous Armenia Party has initially declined to propose a nominee. Most likely, the vacant position will be filled by the ruling faction.
