Business of Paid Queue Holders Moves from Yerevan to Gyumri: Alarm Raised

The business of paid queue holders has relocated from the Yerevan customs terminal to the Gyumri customs terminal. Auroranews has received numerous alerts about this issue since yesterday. Citizens specifically mention that there is no way to combat the paid queue holders.

"We are already considering that the police may also be involved with them, as they see what is happening and take no action. If the problem does not find a solution, we are preparing to hold a protest, appealing to the acting police chief Arman Sargsyan, perhaps then some measures will be taken," one of the citizens who called us said.

Auroranews also spoke with Ashot Aharonyan, the head of the Police's Information and Public Relations Department, who stated that the issue will be investigated and appropriate solutions will be provided. The spokesperson of the State Revenue Committee, Lusine Mkrtchyan, also mentioned in our conversation that they are aware of the problem, but its resolution is not within their authority.

According to citizens, queues are being sold for 10,000 to 15,000 AMD.

UPDATE: We have just learned that police are already on-site conducting work.
