Will Vagharshak Harutyunyan Get a Position in the CSTO?
According to the newspaper "Fact", recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the second protocol between the government and the CSTO, as well as the establishment of security conditions.
As per this protocol, the CSTO Secretary-General, his deputies, and their family members will receive privileges and immunity as stipulated in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, adopted on April 18, 1961.
This topic has generated considerable interest in Armenian circles, and, according to our information, serious discussions are ongoing within the government block.
The matter is that after losing the position of CSTO Secretary-General, the Armenian side aims to assume one of the deputy positions starting in January, and this has added a certain intrigue regarding who will occupy this desired position.
According to sources from the newspaper, the Armenian authorities are considering former Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan for that position, who has recently started demonstrating significant activity, becoming a
