Two Criminal Cases Related to David Sanasaryan are at the Investigative Committee

The two criminal cases related to the suspended head of the Armenian State Revenue Committee, David Sanasaryan, have now been received by the Investigative Committee. This was reported to NEWS.am by Naida Harutyunyan, the acting head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee.

“The criminal case regarding the incident where David Sanasaryan allegedly hit a minor with a vehicle has been initiated under the first part of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code and is under the jurisdiction of the Traffic Crimes Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee. The case regarding the alleged extortion involving David Sanasaryan is currently under the jurisdiction of the Kotayk Investigative Division of the Investigative Committee,” said Naida Harutyunyan.

It is worth noting that media reports had circulated stating that David Sanasaryan had hit a 9-year-old child, A. Ghébondyan, near the archway of the building at 4 Kievyan Street. Following those publications, David Sanasaryan denied the reports, but later acknowledged in a Facebook live stream that such an incident had occurred. He also mentioned that the child's mother had demanded money from him, threatening that if he did not comply, she would announce to the media that Sanasaryan had hit her child with a vehicle.
