Conflict with Deputy Minister Leads to Resignation

According to the "Haykakan Zhamanak" newspaper, former Deputy Minister of Justice Artak Asatryan, who was appointed as the head of the ministry's staff a few months ago, recently packed his belongings and left the ministry.

The reason for his departure, as reported, is a conflict with the Minister's first deputy, Rafik Grigoryan. In addition to Asatryan, long-time employee Karen Hakobyan, who was the head of the anti-corruption and criminal policy development department, has also been 'suggested' to submit his resignation.

We contacted the press service of the Ministry of Justice, where they confirmed that Artak Asatryan has indeed submitted his resignation request.
