All the Information Spread About Me Trying to Discredit Me: Vanetsyan
The President of the Football Federation of Armenia, Artur Vanetsyan, considers the stir following the appointment of Abraham Khashmanyan as head coach of the Armenian national football team to be an attempt to create noise. He stated, 'I see no political motives, but I see an interest in creating a stir. Any action taken against football is not against Vanetsyan; it is against Armenian football. Any encroachment against Armenian football is unacceptable.'
Vanetsyan also informed that after resigning from the position of NSS director, he has been avoiding making any public statements and participating in events. However, his absence from the country or a casual meeting in a café has become a subject of discussion. 'Moreover, since my resignation, some media outlets have been spreading false information about me almost daily, none of which has been confirmed. Of course, I could continuously issue denials, but I do not want to do that or file lawsuits, so that they can calm down and move on. I would just like to take this opportunity to say that all the information being spread about me and attempting to discredit me has no basis in reality,' Vanetsyan emphasized.
