«Zhoghovurd»: What Did Pashinyan and the Members of the CP Discuss for 2.5 Hours? Details

«Zhoghovurd» newspaper writes: Yesterday, Prime Minister Pashinyan met at the CP office with the members of the National Assembly's My Step faction. The newspaper has managed to uncover details from that closed-door meeting which lasted for 2.5 hours.

It is noteworthy that, unlike faction meetings where there are many absentees, there were few absentees at yesterday's meeting, and all of them were registered to ask questions. The MPs mainly expressed dissatisfaction with the work of various ministries.

They also raised issues regarding the drafts they had authored, which the government rejected, an approach considered unacceptable by the members of the ruling faction.

The discussion mainly focused on the Istanbul Convention. The Prime Minister inquired whether the MPs had familiarized themselves with the Venice Commission's conclusions regarding the convention. The majority of them admitted that they were not familiar with the document, and the Prime Minister instructed them to definitely review it and discuss the matter.

Incidentally, Pashinyan stated that the issue of the Istanbul Convention will be held off for now. It was decided that the conclusions would be distributed in parliament tomorrow for their review.
