Turkey Detains Al-Baghdadi's Sister
Turkey has detained Rasmia Awad, the elder sister of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State (IS) organization, which is banned in several countries. This was reported by Reuters, citing sources in Turkey, and recalling that al-Baghdadi had previously been neutralized.
“Rasmia Awad was arrested near the town of Azaz. We hope to obtain valuable information from al-Baghdadi's sister regarding the internal activities of IS,” a Turkish official stated, according to the agency.
The source noted that the woman is suspected of having connections with the terrorist organization.
It is worth mentioning that on October 27, reports emerged stating that American forces had neutralized al-Baghdadi.
