Mr. Pashinyan, why are you not responding to Aliyev's statements? - Armen Ashotyan
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan unfortunately does not have control over the entire package of the Artsakh resolution. This was stated today, November 4, during a Facebook live stream by Armenian Revolutionary Federation Vice President Armen Ashotyan.
"The arrogance and conceit with which Nikol has engaged in the negotiations for the resolution of the Artsakh conflict, as well as the instability and unseriousness with which he treats his own words and makes his Foreign Minister or Defense Minister clean up after him after every statement, is surely one of the testimonies of this," he said.
Ashotyan noted that the public is not interested in why Pashinyan dismissed the head of his security service, but rather, what discussions the Armenian authorities are having regarding the resolution of the Artsakh issue. "Unfortunately, the only conclusion to be drawn from yesterday's broadcast is that no specific approach, no clear adopted policy, and no clarity regarding the views and positions of the Armenian Government on the Artsakh issue were voiced. This is the biggest omission, and I am sure it was done deliberately, because the widespread manipulation that Pashinyan and his team are undertaking on various issues has unfortunately also extended to Artsakh," he stated.
Ashotyan emphasized that if we try to remember what the Prime Minister said about the principles for resolving the Artsakh issue, or about the approach of the Armenian authorities, we cannot recall anything, as nothing was said about it.
“Behind every news item, Pashinyan sees the ears of the former government, but attributing every discussion to this so-called former regime is at least not fair, because it must be said that dissatisfaction with Pashinyan is not only among Republicans,” he said.
Ashotyan pointed out that Nikol Pashinyan repeated the previously unsuccessful statement that the resolution of the Artsakh issue must satisfy three peoples, but afterward, the president of the opposing state reacted very rudely on both domestic and international platforms.
“What did Nikol Pashinyan say in response to that yesterday? Are you not surprised that the person occupying the position of Prime Minister of our country is responding about the Artsakh issue exclusively to us rather than to the Azerbaijani authorities? It is very strange for me that by leaving the issues of Armenia, Artsakh, Zangezur unanswered, he speaks in his live streams about some gossip and rumors and tries to create the impression that everything is calm in Baghdad. Mr. Pashinyan, why are you not responding to Aliyev's statements? Why are you not countering them? Neither you nor your Foreign Minister have adequately followed Azerbaijani propaganda and responded to it lately,” he remarked.
It should be noted that yesterday, PM Nikol Pashinyan announced during a Facebook live broadcast that, as strange as it may seem, there is positive dynamics in the negotiation process.
