Firefighters Blocked Path and Brandished Weapon: Minister Provides Details

The Minister of Emergency Situations of Armenia, Felix Tsolakyan, provided details during a press conference regarding the incident that occurred in Kotayk Province on October 26 involving Administrative Court Judge Arthur Avagyan.

"Firefighters arrived at the scene with four vehicles in response to an emergency call. A vehicle coming from the opposite direction did not yield; they activated their sirens to request the road be cleared. Instead, the driver blocked the way and ultimately brandished a weapon at them. I was not aware of who it was, whether a judge or someone else. Once I obtained the vehicle's license plate number, our crisis center presented the information, and I immediately instructed to contact the police, who are dealing with the matter,” the minister elaborated.

It is worth noting that on October 26, an extraordinary incident took place in Kotayk Province. A call was received that around 14:38, the 9-11 rescue team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, while responding to an incident with their emergency lights on near "Arinj Mall," requested the road from the driver of a Mazda with the license plate 12 NN 021. However, the driver exited the vehicle and attacked the rescuers carrying out their professional duties, directing an object resembling a weapon at them. The driver threatened with a pistol, claiming he would 'kill everyone.'.
