Fatality at Iran-Azerbaijan Border
On November 3, at the Iran-Azerbaijan border, Azerbaijani border guards noticed an individual attempting to cross the state border unlawfully. Border units were put on high alert, and the area was completely secured.
After warning shots were fired in the air, the violator did not stop and attempted to flee towards Iran. Border guards fired at him, resulting in the violator's death from gunshot wounds.
During a subsequent search, authorities found 12.34 kilograms of narcotics in his backpack, along with a Pietro Beretta handgun, a magazine, and eight rounds of ammunition.
