Discussion on Implementation of Armenia-EU Agreements
On November 4, under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, a regular meeting of the Interagency Commission coordinating the implementation of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement between Armenia and the EU, as well as the Armenia-EU Partnership Priorities document, was held at the government.
According to the office of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, members of the commission also included Ruben Rubinyan, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly of Armenia, Arman Yeghoyan, Chairman of the Permanent Commission on European Integration Issues of the National Assembly, and Naira Zohrabyan, Chair of the Permanent Commission on Human Rights Protection and Public Affairs.
The members of the commission discussed the performance of the activities outlined in the roadmap for the implementation of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement for the years 2019 and 2020. In particular, steps already taken and upcoming actions in the fields of justice, migration, finance, police, transportation, and environmental protection were addressed.
Representatives of the responsible agencies reported on the progress of the implementation of the relevant points. Participants exchanged views on the potential for more efficient implementation of a number of activities.
The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the members for their work and also expressed hope for the upcoming activities to be carried out in accordance with the timeline set in the roadmap.
