Video: Zoo Workers and Experts Neutralize Stray Dogs

Currently, zoo workers and involved professional teams are neutralizing stray dogs in the areas surrounding the zoo. The term "neutralizing" means "tranquilizing/sedating," as reported by Hakob Karapetyan, the press secretary of the Yerevan City Hall, on his Facebook page.

"The animals will undergo examination at the appropriate facility. Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies are investigating the incidents that occurred in the last two days," he wrote.

It should be noted that in the past two days, a pack of dogs attacked the animals in the zoo twice. The first attack occurred in the early hours of October 31, when the dogs mauled three kangaroos, and the second attack took place in the early hours of November 1, with the dogs attacking mouflons.

Following these two incidents, Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Tigran Virabyan suggested that Ruben Khachatryan, the director of the Yerevan Zoo, submit a resignation letter, after which he announced that he would discontinue his duties.
