Video: 23-Year-Old Arrested on Murder Charges

During the implementation of operational data received at the 3rd department of the Main Directorate for Organized Crime Control of the RA Police, officers from the Main Directorate, the Criminal Investigation Department of Yerevan, and the Malatia Division, along with the Special Forces of the 3rd Battalion of the Patrol Service, discovered and brought to the Malatia Division a 23-year-old resident of Yerevan on the morning of October 31, who was wanted on murder charges, with the measure of restraint being detention.

This was reported by the Public Relations and Information Department of the RA Police.

It is noteworthy that a weapon-related incident occurred on October 9 in the yard of building 130 on Andranik Street in Yerevan, as a result of which the body of a 29-year-old young man was transported to the “Erebuni” medical center with gunshot wounds. At the crime scene, the operational-investigative group discovered bullet casings, bullets, blood traces, and other evidence. A criminal case was initiated.

As a result of joint operational-investigative measures taken by officers from the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Police, the Criminal Investigation Department of Yerevan, the Malatia Division, and other units, the particularly serious crime committed in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district was revealed. Based on the factual data obtained through operational and investigative actions, it was established that the murder was committed by a 23-year-old resident of Yerevan.

After being detained by the police, he was presented to the body conducting the preliminary investigation for questioning. Measures to find the murder weapon continue.
