VIDEO: The Deceased Firefighter Was 22 Years Old; Minister Going to Vanadzor; Details

A tragic incident occurred earlier today in the mountains near Vanadzor, Lori Province, during firefighting efforts. One of the firefighters sustained injuries and has died under yet-to-be-determined circumstances. Another firefighter who suffered burns is being transported by air ambulance to the ‘Erebuni’ medical center in Yerevan.

This was reported by Edmon Zargaryan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, during a conversation with Auroranews.am.

“The fire has escalated; they have remained in the fire,” he noted.

The deceased was identified as 22-year-old Samvel Vardan Develyan, a firefighter-rescuer from the Gugark Fire and Rescue Team. The other injured is Edgar Ishkhan Grigoryan, also a firefighter-rescuer from the same team.
