Video: Police Chase and Arrest Man Who Stole ‘Mercedes’
On the night of October 28, a 40-year-old man reported to the Masis police department that he had parked his car on the central street of Argavand village, entered a shop, and upon exiting, discovered that his ‘Mercedes’ had been stolen. The car's doors were left open, and the keys were inside.
Masis criminal investigators sent alerts to nearby units and the traffic police in an effort to locate the stolen vehicle. An auto search was announced.
Hours later, on the night of October 29, the ‘Mercedes’ was spotted by the officers of the Dilijan department, who were carrying out enhanced service in the Dilijan winding roads, as well as by the traffic police. The driver, failing to comply with the lawful orders of the traffic police to stop the vehicle, attempted to flee. The police pursued him.
Eventually, the police were able to forcibly stop the ‘Mercedes’ and the driver was apprehended by the Dilijan police department. The 31-year-old resident of Vanadzor provided a confession.
The materials prepared by the Dilijan police department regarding the incident, along with the ‘Mercedes’, have been transferred to the Masis police department, where an investigation is underway to clarify the circumstances of the case.
