I Am Convinced That the Media Field Is 'Corrupted': Mariam Pashinyan

The senior daughter of the Prime Minister of Armenia, Mariam Pashinyan, wrote on her Facebook page:

"I am increasingly convinced that the media field in Armenia needs profound and significant reforms. It is unclear how certain websites, operating under the same conditions, in the same market, targeting the same audience, fluctuate significantly in their revenues and profits. For the sustainable development of the sector, a stable model is necessary. This reaffirms one thing: that the sector is 'corrupted'; many in the field serve certain groups or protect the interests of specific parties. Of course, this was relevant in the past as well, but the widespread use of social media and the increase in the number of users and websites have merely deepened the problems that once existed."
