Yerevan Metro to Transition to Card Payment System: Hayk Sargsyan

The Yerevan Municipality has conducted studies and determined that the current payment system of the Yerevan Metro is ineffective. This was announced today by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan at the National Assembly.

According to him, an investment program is necessary to replace the existing system, and plans are in place to hold a competition for this purpose.

The Deputy Mayor assured that once the system is ready, metro tokens will be replaced with metro cards, bank cards, mobile applications, and any other modern alternatives available.
