Torosyan Defended the Interests of Samvel Aleksanyan and 'Don Pippo': David Sanasaryan
Arsen Torosyan, the Minister of Health, is not entirely sincere or honest in his approaches. He actively defended the interests of businessman Samvel Aleksanyan and Arthur Asatryan (known as 'Don Pippo'). This was stated in an interview with Factor.am by David Sanasaryan, the suspended head of the State Oversight Service.
"In the case of dialysis, Torosyan had a clear position. 'Don Pippo's' nephew and Samvel Aleksanyan own 84% of the dialysis market, meaning it belongs to these two prominent individuals or their family members. Arsen Torosyan actively defended their interests. I initially thought that Arsen Torosyan was solely focused on patients, but in this case, we have other hospitals that do not utilize these particular organizations, which suggests that Arsen Torosyan is not as sincere and honest in his approaches. I do not know what his interest is," said David Sanasaryan regarding the criminal case opened against him.
"In our correspondence, it is very clear that Arsen Torosyan says it is an organization belonging to my employees, and I respond that I do not know what organization he is referring to, but there is a legality issue. I am waiting for Arsen Torosyan to come to court because I have very specific questions for him. Our correspondence was accepted as evidence," Sanasaryan added.
According to him, the decision to initiate criminal prosecution against him was made in the Football Federation, which does not imply within the federation's territory. "The pursuit against me occurred as a result of the cooperation between Vanetsyan and Torosyan. Arsen Torosyan could have had other motives as well because the State Oversight Service had planned, and I had informed him that we would be actively studying the financial flows, legality, effectiveness, etc. of the Ministry of Health and its subordinate bodies. This could have posed an obstacle for Torosyan," emphasized David Sanasaryan.
