‘Haykakan Jamanak’. The Soldier Who Abandoned His Military Unit for 10 Days Has Been Found: Exclusive Details

‘Haykakan Jamanak’ reports that the soldier who left his military unit, stationed in Kapan, voluntarily for about 10 days has been found. Exclusive details about this mysterious case of the conscript soldier have been provided by the head of the Armenian Military Police, Artur Baghdasaryan.

According to him, the soldier's mother revealed that her son had a strange habit: whenever he had money in his hand, he would disappear for several days. When he left the military unit, he had money; 20,000 drams had been sent by his brother, and he also had another 5,000 drams with him.

The young man was found in Yerevan. Baghdasaryan informed us: “The soldier and a friend are currently at the Military Police. He stayed at a friend's house. By ‘friend’, I mean someone he met through Facebook and other sites; perhaps the friend had been left alone and needed company, so he went to his friend's place. Sometimes he says, ‘He's not my friend,’ but in any case, the two boys have remained together.”

Further details, according to the Military Police chief, will be clarified through a medical examination.

More details are in today's edition of the newspaper.
