Shoigu Discusses Armenian-Russian Defense Cooperation
Today in Yerevan, the defense ministries of Armenia and Russia confirmed the 2020 cooperation program. The ceremonial event was an occasion to characterize Armenian-Russian defense collaboration.
“We intend to continue our cooperation with the same intensity without reducing the pace we have achieved,” said the Russian Minister of Defense.
He noted that the signed document will see the defense ministries of Armenia and Russia implement 60 joint programs over the next year. This pertains not only to bilateral projects but also to those carried out within the framework of the CSTO.
Shoigu also mentioned that they will continue to train Armenian Armed Forces officers in their universities; according to him, 248 Armenian officers are currently studying in 25 military educational institutions in Russia.
