New Metro Station to Be Built on Bridge, Says Deputy Mayor

Recently, builders involved by the investor visited Yerevan and conducted studies both in the gorge and tunnel sections. This was stated today by Yerevan's Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan while discussing the construction of the new metro station.

“We reached a final agreement with them that the project will be implemented, the business project will be discussed, which they will present based on the parameters we provided, and the construction of the metro will commence. We hope to start certain works next year,” noted Sargsyan.

The deputy mayor mentioned that the station will be constructed on a bridge, equipped with modern structures. “A challenge has been set to ensure that the construction logic is continuous, assuming continuity through the tunnel section to the next station,” he emphasized.
