How to Combat Illegal Logging: Police Uncover Another Case (Video)

On October 25, police officers from the Kapan division discovered approximately 4 cubic meters of wood from the species of pear and quince during a patrol in the "Chmani Aghbyur" area of the Jakatun community.

During the conducted measures, it was found that the wood was illegally cut down by the administrative head of one of the communities in Syunik Province along with his sons. They stated that the trees were cut for their personal needs.

The wood has been handed over to the Kapan forestry branch of the Hayantar SNCO. The chainsaws and axe have been confiscated. The extent of damage is currently being assessed. Preparations are being made for further inquiries.
