VIDEO: This is an illegal pursuit against me, says Sanasaryan
It is a natural judicial process, the court makes its decisions, of course there were some unpleasant decisions, about which I can say nothing.
This was stated today, on October 28, during a conversation with reporters by the temporarily suspended head of the Anti-Corruption Committee, Davit Sanasaryan, while discussing the first court session.
He insists that an illegal pursuit is being carried out against him: “But my powers continue to remain suspended, and see how delayed the next court session is; the case can take two years and as a result, I remain far from fulfilling my duties. This is an illegal pursuit against me, and certain individuals, and perhaps the hidden forces behind them, have implemented a policy to keep me away.”
Sanasaryan noted that he is aware that pressures are being exerted on Samvel Adyan: “I have conveyed to the Prime Minister that pressures are being exerted on Samvel Adyan, as I have been informed by his relatives that pressures are being exerted on him to fabricate a case against me.”
He is confident that there is a serious need for reform in the law enforcement system: “Systemic changes need to be made, and it would be good to conduct a lustration to see whom these people serve. I assume that there is influence from the former regime on all law enforcement agencies.”
