I have nothing to be afraid of regarding my personality. This was stated today, October 30, by the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, during the ceremony of handing over certificates to graduates of Andranik Margaryan Political School, in response to a question from one of the graduates about whether he fears that the chain of arrests might also reach him, reports news.am.

“As is known, only a complete fool has no fear of anything. Since 1988, I have truly been afraid; I was afraid of losing part of our homeland – Artsakh, which would bring a great and real danger to the remaining part of our homeland. But together with tens of thousands of dedicated people, looking fear in the eye, we managed to overcome that fear in a war with known outcomes. I am still afraid of the irresponsible populists and their catastrophic policies for our homeland. I have nothing to be afraid of regarding my personality; if by arresting me our people will be satisfied and happy, March 1 and October 27 will be considered completely resolved, the dangers threatening our country will be neutralized, and the negotiations on Artsakh will return to the right path, let them arrest me,” he stated.

According to Serzh Sargsyan, those who often change their decisions under the influence of various pressures are considered cowards. “I am not a decision-changer; I have never changed my decision. If my absence from society helps the economic revolution gain momentum and the flow of returnees to Armenia becomes so large that we can simply be proud of it, let them arrest me,” he added.
