Sanasaryan: Mnatsakanyan's Response to Question About Me Was Unacceptable Mistake

David Sanasaryan, the suspended head of the State Oversight Service, addressed Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan's comments in a BBC interview regarding him. Below is the full text of his response:

“In response to the part of Zohrab Mnatsakanyan's BBC #HardTalk concerning me, considering that Minister Mnatsakanyan is still my colleague, I do not want to comment on the entire interview, which contained unacceptable emphases for me, and I hope to discuss them at our meeting. However, since my surname was mentioned, I have to refer to the part concerning me.

The journalist Sakur asked how the public can trust Mr. Sanasaryan, who is a close associate of the Prime Minister and has been appointed head of the State Oversight Service, when he is now facing accusations. Minister Mnatsakanyan responded: - 'But the SYSTEM RESPONDED.'

The Minister's answer was an unacceptable mistake, which reasonable people understand as acknowledging the fact that I am a corrupt person. I want to remind him not to repeat this mistake next time and to respond to his diplomatic colleagues or journalists very clearly: the case is in court, and Sanasaryan's guilt has not been proven.

P.S. Of course, everyone can criticize, and I have heard and read many objective criticisms, but representatives of the previous regime have no room to talk; they, along with their leaders, have equated the reputation of the Republic of Armenia to zero.”
