I Do Not Agree with the Charges Against Me, Babloyan
I do not agree with the charges brought against me. This was stated today, October 28, by former National Assembly President Ara Babloyan during a conversation with reporters.
"I absolutely do not agree with the charges and have declared that the accusation is illegal. Everything I have done was within the framework of the Constitution and laws. There was no prior agreement; everything has worked as the National Assembly has always functioned," he said.
Babloyan insisted he will continue to fight: "I have announced that I am no longer involved in politics; I am engaged in healthcare. My goal is for the people to continue to respect me as they have in the past. I will not go anywhere, I will stay in this country, and I will fight until the end to prove that I am just."
To the question of whether he considers the charge a political persecution, he responded, "Let's continue with this process; it will become clear."
