The High-Ranking Military Is Uneasy

According to the 'Hayots Ashkharh' newspaper, high-ranking military officials are currently uneasy. The issue is that a conscript from the Armenian Ministry of Defense's military unit in the city of Kapan, Syunik Province, has been missing for five days after leaving the unit voluntarily, and there have been no updates on his whereabouts to this date.

Clearly, the main responsibility lies with the Chief of Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Artak Davtyan. Reports suggest that this area is the epicenter of the growing anxiety, especially since there have been incidents this year where soldiers have crossed over to the enemy side due to issues they faced at the unit, or even committed suicide near enemy positions.

Our sources within the Ministry of Defense indicate that the agency is fervently hoping for the soldier's safe return. Preliminary data from the Military Police’s investigation reveal that the soldier had no issues with his military unit. However, law enforcement officials have suspicions that his family might be hiding something, as they are not very cooperative in their dealings with the authorities.
