Dissatisfaction with Felix Tsolakyan at the Ministry of Emergency Situations: Letter Sent to the Prime Minister
The newspaper "Haykakan Zhamanak" reports that a group of employees at the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia have revolted against Minister Felix Tsolakyan. The situation has escalated to the point where these employees have sent a complaint letter to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, alleging that Minister Tsolakyan is committing violations within the ministry.
Since Tsolakyan is also one of the veterans of the law enforcement system, he has not remained silent and has, in turn, sent a letter to the Prime Minister. Tsolakyan informed the newspaper that he requested the Prime Minister to send someone to the ministry as soon as the letter arrives to verify the credibility of the complaints from the disgruntled employees.
“They are not working against me; they are working for someone else. Today, people have misunderstood democracy. Those who are dismissed know that they need to go and complain that they were fired. The whole idea is this: you shouldn't dismiss someone from work; you need to sit and observe who wants to do what,” he stated.
According to the newspaper’s information, for a long time, there has been a lack of peace within the ministry's upper echelons, which has been one of the main reasons that on October 22, Prime Minister Pashinyan dismissed Artak Nahapetyan from the position of head of the rescue service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Now, it seems that Nahapetyan’s supporters are working with some young figures in power against the minister and trying to discredit him before the Prime Minister at all costs.
It should be noted that in the ruling party's young team, experienced specialist Tsolakyan is not tolerated. One of the reasons may be the fact that he was the one who previously guaranteed Arthur Vanetsyan as a candidate for the head of the National Security Service.
