Parliament Approves Bill Criminalizing False Information to Notaries

The Armenian Parliament today approved in the second reading and in full the draft law on amendments to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, presented by the Bright Armenia faction. A total of 119 deputies voted in favor.

The bill stipulates that providing evidently false information to a notary is punishable by a fine ranging from one hundred to three hundred times the minimum wage, up to three months of detention, or imprisonment for a term of up to two years.
