Karen Avagyan Becomes European Champion with 364 kg Result in Weightlifting

Two members of the youth weightlifting national team have claimed their latest medals at the European Championship. According to Armenpress, in the under-20 category with a weight of 89 kg held in Bucharest, Karen Avagyan became the European champion with a total of 364 kg in the clean and jerk.

In this weight class, the European youth vice-champion was Ara Aghanyan, who recorded a result of 358 kg in total. Earlier, Liana Gyurjyan had also become the European champion, while Rafik Harutyunyan secured a bronze medal.
