Babayan: My Criminal Prosecution is Illegal from the Very First Step
Former Deputy Chief of Staff of the National Assembly, Arsen Babayan, has released a statement through his lawyer, which states:
“Dear relatives, friends, and colleagues. I am aware of all your efforts, words, and the support you have given me. I am immensely grateful to all of you. I am proud to have such great support behind me.
I assure you that I have not committed any act for which I could be held accountable by legal means. The criminal prosecution initiated against me is entirely illegal from the very first step. This will be addressed by my lawyers. I would just like to note that the investigator did not even allow me to be present at the court hearing that examined the legality of my arrest.
I ask you all to remain calm for my sake. My spirits are high, my mood is optimistic, and my lawyers are extremely professional.”
