Armenia’s Business Ranking Declines by 6 Points: Report
The World Bank has released its "Doing Business 2020" report, indicating that in 2019, Armenia's standing deteriorated by 6 points, placing it at the 47th position. In 2018, Armenia ranked 41st.
According to the results of 2018, Armenia had improved its position by 6 points, rising from 47th to 41st place. The ranking shows that Armenia has fallen behind Azerbaijan, which dropped from the 25th position to the 34th.
Among other EAEU countries, Kazakhstan is ranked 25th, Russia 28th, Belarus 49th, and Kyrgyzstan 80th. Georgia stands at 7th, Turkey at 33rd, and Iran at 127th.
It should be noted that the World Bank's report pertains to the business environment in Armenia until May 1, 2019. The country scored 74.5 points compared to 75.37 points from the previous year.
