Video: Secret Actions After the Revolution Are Unacceptable, Tsarukyan
“The secret actions after the revolution are unacceptable,” said the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party parliamentary faction, Gagik Tsarukyan, during a conversation with reporters on October 22. This statement came in response to information that the Prime Minister had secretly increased the salaries of certain ministers.
According to Tsarukyan, such changes should exist, but they must be transparent. “How can you do this secretly from the people? If the people do not mind that any minister has fully and effectively performed his duties, they can even be given ten times more salary, but doing it 'secretly' is offensive to both us, the parliamentarians, and to the people,” Tsarukyan stated.
When asked by a reporter if he condemns such a practice, Tsarukyan labeled it “offensive,” specifically criticizing the word “secret.”
