Causes of Fish Die-Offs in the Shoreline Area of the Khachenaget Reservoir

The Minister of State of the Republic of Artsakh, Grigori Martirosyan, convened an expanded consultation on October 21 concerning the causes of fish die-offs in the shoreline area of the Khachenaget Reservoir. This was reported on the official website of the Artsakh government.

The Minister listened to information about the complex measures implemented recently by officials from the ministries of environment, agriculture, health, police, and emergency situation services, as well as representatives from the Askeran region. Specific sectoral studies are ongoing. Samples from the water and fish have been taken for laboratory examination.

In his remarks, Grigori Martirosyan emphasized the need for a comprehensive study of the causes of the problem in the shortest time possible, which will be followed by relevant conclusions and assessments.
